I agree, he did a good job of not getting too deep into the science and not putting us to sleep!

Good info. Thanks.

I did notice that with the reduction in the white perch population there seemed to be a great reduction in broken gear and expletives flying across the ice the last two winters. Interesting to see if that increases now that the population is coming back.

Looks like the winds will be whipping tonight and into tomorrow. I’ll be avoiding the Oneida as it will be bow to stern in the canal.  Water level coming up some. Talked to a worker at the marina yesterday. He said the low water has hindered them launching the targer boats. Very few at the docks. Mostly party barges.
Good luck to you who get out...

If it's really a 20 plus west wind most of tonight I have a feeling I'll be perching on a different body of water. Can't do bumper boats up the creek.

Looks like some nasty weather coming our way tonight.  Got our boat in the marina earlier this week.  Water does seem low.  I too am retired so will wait till after the mad rush to do some fishing next week.  The weather looks good.  Good luck to all the weekend warriors and diehards to go get em this weekend. By all reports sounds like it will be a good year. Be safe.
