I feel your pain oldtimer. Those raps aren’t cheap. I know there have been years where they were defective. Couple years the paint would chip if you looked at the things wrong. Then there is the rear fin issue. Kind of strange a multi million dollar company won’t stand behind their product without a receipt. They got paid by someone for that product to start with receipt or not.
Nice job findin em

I like pitching buck tails myself , only use my raps through the ice , enjoy the heat as it is still damp and chilly here

This east wind has cleared out the east end as far as I can see. Is the ice stacking on the west side or gone there too?

It looks like there is still ice on the North Shore webcam.

I think the wind is going to come up from the West soon. That might take care of it for good.

Damp and chilly there, hot, near 90 everyday with showers here. I’m heading North next week...

For me, the North Shore webcam is stuck on Sunday afternoon . I don’t go there much any more. Soon the leaves will be out and can’t see water. The poll on the site shows most want camera nearer the water, probably to get away from trees , but that poll is years old.  Glad we have the Sylvan Beach cam now.

Old Timer there is also a camera at Chapmans. I like this one to check out the wave/wind direction before heading up. Helps me decide which launch to use that day. Can't seem to post the link though, anyone?

OT I have the same issue with the NS web cam lately. If I try a different browser it normally works.

We had a meeting with Cornell last night.

Perch and walleye numbers are on the rise.

There are 500,000 - 600,000 adult walleyes and around 1.8 million perch.

The 2016 perch and walleye year classes were very solid so that will be contributing a lot of perch this year and walleyes for next year. That happened to coincide with the goby numbers peaking in 2016 and then dropping fairly sharply since.
