hey I rode the motorcycle  fished in a sweat shirt till it cooled off and  yes  it was a very slow day but felt great I got a picture of the eagle  watching it's  nest  on rt 48 Oswego  just as you get in town power pole  next to power plant  i'll post it later  .... seen  deer  ....geese  and   we had a  bear   in the field by my house  so it was a great day

I got to clean tomorrow the  cooler is full and one jumped out .....I cleaned 10 the other day (alive)  tossed them in the fry pan and  two started flopping  .....now that's fresh fish ;D

Son is home from college so I took the morning off and we chased the pan-fish......got enough for a few meals!  Caught several bowfins too!!

Those bowfin are fun to catch. Hit/fight like a cross between a Bass/Pike.

Yup, fun to catch, but taste like crap.

I never kept one before.....they are a prehistoric looking critter that for sure!

I took the oldest boy out in search of perch this afternoon. The first 2 hours we never had a bite. Then we moved out deeper and found some biters. We stayed until the wind kicked up.

He did pretty good after he got the hang of setting the hook.
