Pounded on some perch and sunnies this evening with Shane. I caught 1 keeper eye as well. Tonight the perch average size was the best we have seen all week so far. Catching these on ice gear is a riot!

Yeah they were tanks! They shot 6 foot off bottom after the jiggin rap. Reminded me of walleyes through the ice. We lost quite a few fish on the way up fishing with the ice rods. It was weird. Maybe you don’t get the leverage that you get on the ice because your fishing over the side of the boat. Only excuse we could come up with lol

I like the stingnose minnow tipped with a spike or perch eye for that vertical jigging.  It works great in water over 15’ in the fingerlakes and also Oneida.
Just checking the weather and it looks nice on Oneida. I think I’ll do a perch search Wednesday. Any pointers on location and depth would be appreciated. Not looking to take your spots , just a general area would be good.
