Finally got the wife out for some trolling
Fished from 11:00-3:00 it was pretty warm out there , but the eyes were active , spoons off lead and raps off snap weight and boards
Wife caught some nice fish 20,19.5, 16.5 ,

Good work Fred and Mrs.

The lake seems to be firing on all cylinders right now.

Speaking of "firing" ever been in a static electricity storm? Monday before the storm arrived, we started to hear all this clicking noise on the boat. Couldn't figure out what was going on. The tunes started getting static sounding, so I shut the master power switch off, then I realized what was going on. I could see a blue spark jumping off a rod butt to the rail, had a 3/8" gap between the two. Told the wife not to touch a thing! She wanted to get out of there and head back to camp, but how were we supposed to motor with rods out. After about four minutes of tense spark watching, it finally dissipated.
Had a blast fishing out of Angler's Bay. Caught a bunch of double limits on the eyes, some SMB, perch, sheeps heads, and a monster mystery fish that came unbuttoned. Lots of shorts, 24 on Wednesday. Nice healthy fish!

Rugburn that is scary   Not sure what I would have done other than the same you did. I've never seen that
