Tied a bunch of my "Ugly Bugs" this morning.



Used rpdog's jig pattern. Thanks again buddy That jig style adapts really well to my fly patterns.

And.........Rockies will definitely eat these

Little heat from the heat gun...little squeeze here and there...and voila' a reasonable facimile of a corn kernel.



A little mono...a knit pick


A piece of 50 lb mono....some super glue


Tie it on a custom jig, #8, 200r, a la rpdog with a custom color a la RG's powder paint


And you've got a mess of carp,candy in no time.


Floats perfectly every time


And yes....that's a wee dram of Buffalo Trace in the background.

Just one more adaptation for your jigs rp

Think I'm gonna give the new 10 wt a  backyard swing this afternoon. Gotta decide what reel and line I want on it.

Need to sew up a bag for it too.

It depends on the fish. If I can get it in front of them without spooking them I'll try those and several others in the Arsenal. It they're scrubbing the bottom I'll chum a bit.
