My first fly rod was a  Fenwick 6 weight that got me started fly fishing on the Battenkill  back in the 70s.  I still have two Fenwick glass spinning rods from that era that I need to have new guides put on.

I know a guy that might be blue to do that ;D

My first was a Fenwick 2 PC 5 wt. think it was an FF-84. That one just plain wore out many years ago. I picked up a pristine replacement a few years back. What a sweet casting rod.

Feels like it weighs 4 lbs or so next to my TFO 3 wt though.

perch thank you very much  but  I have seen a lot of really  good work on here  ...I  spend  a lot  of  time at the  bench ,I really  enjoy  it  and  I  love  catching fish with  my  own  flies  .right now  between  runs  to the  trout stream  i'm getting ready  for  one  on my favorite  fish ....the mighty rock bass ...heres   what a  session  ends  up  producing.......

first  clousers  are  great  flies  for  everything  from salt water to crappies and  rock bass  love  them...  I  mix  bright  colors  on some  and   darker  browns on others

after  a  doz  clousers and  3  or  four  crawfish  it's  time  to hit the  water  ;D

Nice looking flies right there. I haven't tied a fly in more than two months but I enjoy looking at what everyone is creating.

Tasty treats Trapper!

I haven't spent a moment at the bench in a month either.  Building the woodworking shop and gardening are taking all my attention.
