There's flocks of feathered rats (aka geese) everywhere around me. A short walk along the canal in Macedon will yield a bag full of flight feathers suitable for biots and such.

Materials are everywhere ;D

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Got to the bench today with an idea for a topwater foam mouse kind of thing.

RG's Gurgle Mouse

Might work  ;D

I'll find out as soon as I get my truck back from the garage.

I'll let you all know how they work tomorrow. I'm doing a garage sale again today. My guess I'd that the bass will explode on those flies........if I present them right.

I'm just having some fun at the bench while I'm recuperating.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that! I'm still waiting on that Cabela's CGR 7' 4/5wt glass rod I ordered in June. They said it would be on backorder til August... gonna do some pond fishin' with that when it finally gets here.

I'm sure they'd eat them too. I'm boat bound for a While yet while my belly heals, so I'll just chase some warm water targets.

I'll be out early in the AM. Can't wait to hear the old outboard purr ;D

I did get out early the other day. Water temp was 81 degrees. Nothing was moving. Managed a couple smallish bass and a few gills. No topwater activity at all.
