the i-81 bridge on oneida lk and jamesville dam were always two spots to go can deposit and picking up trash after the 4th of july holiday. both places were always good for at least 10$ or more in cans and bottle returnables and at least 3 or 4 bags of trash. makes you wonder how these people leave their own property?

My first son earned most of the money for his first real bike, largely through collecting cans and bottles. The most popular locations we visited were places we could fish. Picked up both the trash and deposits at these popular fishing holes. Now 21, he still has an outdoor ethic learned from his years in scouting and through experiences like these clean up days.

Email me to swap information on fishing holes or to go fish'in sometime in the Syracuse Central NY area (Onondaga and Madison county water holes in particular).
