wondering why???? also of it's a good rod why not her a new reel seat and handle and rebuild the  lower end instead of cutting and messing up the bal of the rod

I've used a hacksaw with a fine toothed blade in the past to do exactly that, Raq.

If you feel the need to cut it a hacksaw will work , but a band saw would be smoother and then just glue on a butt cap  , Just my .02

Very fine Saw like a coping Saw Dom. Take your time, a little sanding and a new grip cap. Send it to me if you're not comfortable doing it.

I have a very fine cut pull Saw for finish cuts.

I own two of those!!! Badass for cutting door jambs and casings from doors!!! If you buy one Dom.... don't use the rough teeth!!😁

Best hand saw made since sliced bread!!! You can even slice bread with it!!😜

Can't believe you don't have an ocellating Saw Larry. Although, I know you're a bit of a perfectionist like me.... ;D

They have a mini version too. I use it for making finer cuts on just about everything.

I bought this Sunday morning just to set it up for top water with braid line.. Its 8'6", i have 2 others set up for TW and there 7'6" and 6'6'...    This works great except the butt extends past my elbow and I dont like it..
Can I just epoxy the end after I get my chain saw out?    ::)

I would think so. Like I said...a little sanding and it'll look like it was born that way.

Taking a bit more time on detail... keeps the customers calling!! 😊 Does Lowes carry that smaller saw.... or, did you order it?
