awesome job this summer. Do you troll that perch rapala for the pike, or cast it? Ive seen them in the stores and used on tv but didnt know how to approach it.

My brother and I were trolling them but we've only caught fish with them in august.  125 ft back at 3.8 - 4.1 mph in 18 - 35 ft of water is what we've had sucess with.  Most of the fish coming off points and humps.  Tried using them earlier in the year this year but couldn't find a pattern that worked for us.  not a single fish  ???  Oh well, august was HOTTT  ;D  we've picked up a couple bass on them too.   good fishing

Super Shad Rap is my favorite late summer trolling crank. From the sound of it Chimo, you use them the same way I do! Nice fish and good job. The SSR has a little different wiggle to it than most big cranks, they are dynamite until the lakes turn. After a couple toothies, that pretty finish sure gets mangled!
