A little bit of my fishing season so far.

3 and a half pound channel cat from lake Elmo

11 pound 2 ounce common carp from lake Josephine

8 pound 10 ounce common from lake Josephine

another 11 pound common from lake Josephine

a pod of carp at lake Elmo, fun to watch but also frustrating not being able to hook them  :P
God bless and tight lines!

Wow! I just looked through all 37 pages and I'm excited and anxious to try catching all those incredible species. Some I recognised some I didn't. It appears that I have some learning coming up. I did notice some nice small & largemouth bass but not a bunch. I've trout/salmon fished growing up and a little pike fishing too. I mainly bass fish now, year round. I'm curious what the average big bass would be for the flathead region to say Whitefish. Here in Mass, I get them regularly at 5-7 lbs, with a pb à 9lbs 1 oz. After seeing all those pictures, I don't think I'll be just bass fishing anymore! Really looking forward to making Montana my new home. Hope to meet some of you great anglers on the near future. Until then, have a fantastic day! 🎣

I can't speak for the average big bass, but they grow pretty slow up here. I believe both state records are in the 8lbs range. You could probably find some tournament stats from the area.

a 7 pound bass will be a big one and few and far between. A 7 pound fish will be WELL over 20 years old:)
