Hi bassjunky,
I found a link for my province of Sask. It shows our catch and keep record fish, and some that are catch and release, it is an older link there have been a few catches since than, the fish with 0 lb have been filled now. Oh yeah, the record walleye was 18.1lbs, it should now be 18.3 lbs. This record fish was caught Jan, of 2005 by a minister while he was planning his sermon. The walleye is our new provincial record and a world record for icefishing.
The biggest lake trout I have ever seen was caught in Sask. But it was netted so did not qualify in our records, it was over a 100 lbs, it was mounted and kept in our museum of natural history, unfortunately a fire broke out and the fish along with other animals were lost, there are however still photos of it,but not the same as seeing the fish.
Here is a link to our provincial fish

Thanx Water Wolf,
I actually read a magazine article about the Minister who holds the Walleye record. I wish I could remember which magazine. It's either and Outdoor Canada (with Italo on the cover) or a small ice fishing mag I picked up this winter

I had a fish that had that one beat and lost it, it broke my hook. Don't know if I'd really like to be known for the NYS record for bowfin though...

LOL I know pasquatch. I've broken the record for white sucker, whitefish, and common carp in colorado but never wanted to be known for it. LOL. Colorado has two areas of awards, kept and released. Soon I will be on the released fish for bluegill! BTW: that thing is going down, I'm breaking it this year easily.

Bassjunky, not to be a smart@ss, but your picture of a lake trout doesn't seem to be quite right.
Just an FYI
That's a lot of pics, where did you find them all?

I have been having a hard time adding the photo's, they actually combined a few times. Somwhow I even erased the LMB, the Muskie and a Long nose Gar. I dont know what happend, bu ti have fixed the the lake trout.
Some of the fish species I did not recognise when i read the list so I started to look them up using "Google Images".

Looks like I'm gonna have to go catch a gizzard shad down here and go say I got it up there....
......I caught 11 the other day, half of which were over 3 pounds and a few years ago I got 1 over 5lbs. Not bad for a river that the state of NJ denies having the shad spawning.

Chasing them pigs with fins!
AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.
