If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Made some progress on the rolling ball sculpture today........I've renamed it.....the " rolling ball sculpture ". Got the loft tower completed and ready to attach. I'm gonna have to make another lifter though. The first one has some issues that cause problems.

But, it's a learning experience.

There's always one 🙄 At least you beat Mac.

Did a lot of rework on the basic components today. It's kind of frustrating to think in terms of space for me. I'm a linear sort of builder. A good challenge for an old mind.

I was thinking we could all use a good ball lifter!    ;D
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

Meanwhile ...back in the little wood shop......the rolling ball sculpture is slowly progressing. This morning and again this evening, I worked on making track spacers for assembly and bending the tracks for the return to the lift mechanism from the vortex bowl. I also made a fixture to solder the supports for various parts of the track.

The process of developing a method of assembly has always been fun for me. Almost more fun than the final product.
I'll take some pics in the morning.

Right now I'm resting from 2 solid days of eating........everything........a fine Christmas for sure.

Still making tracks. Fun figuring out how to hold everything in place to solder it together.

Progress the past few days.

I'm pondering a few different elements towards the top. A switchback is next. A result of soldering the supported section of track upside down and backwards.  :-[

Oh well....there's no rules for tinkering, but I will say this project is making me think.
