Ouabache State Park
« on: Aug 30, 2020, 07:36 PM »
I will be fishing in Ouabache state park next weekend and am curious if anyone has any experience there.   Need to fish from bank.  Kunkel Lake looks interesting and easily accessed from the shore.

The Wabash river also runs through the park.  Anyone know if access is available on the Wabash on foot with a reasonable walk?

Thanks!!!

The River Greenway trail starts at the gate house and goes west along the Wabash. There are several places to fish.  The trail will take you to the white bridge where there are places to fish.  The east side of the bridge has the deepest hole  right now it's probably 20' due the water level.  west side is shallow.  The state just put in a new concrete boat ramp two weeks ago.  Send me a PM ref. fishing the lake from the shore line.  That's all my buddy and I do except when there is ice.  Too hard to get my boat in and out right now.  I live in Bluffton so I fish it a lot.  Good luck to you.
