Teaching the Next Generation

Planned to get my son out today on the Q for some lakers. He asked me what time he had to get up and I told him 4:30am. He looked at me and said "why do we have to be there so early?", i replied telling him we had to get there before the fish woke up. He bought it lol.
We launched the boat and he did a good job keeping her dockside while i parked. After a quick refresher on how to jig them up he was on bottom and working his jig. It didnt take long before we were doubled up with our first fish of the day. Mine popped off boat side while i was netting his fish on the other side of the boat. It was quite the sight lol. We ended up with about 12 fish caught in total. Not the madness we have had the past few trips, but hes already asking when we can go out again.
