Back to my roots...
« on: Sep 22, 2019, 08:10 PM »
I've missed my big friends...

We landed several.  The largest was 54lbs on the boga.

Striper.  Mines small compared to this:

Best he landed it on a spinning rod.

Na we just rocked the rock and yes it felt amazing to get out on a real trip. Those guys "rocking the block" are usually over the line...although I am sure you are aware of that.

Never caught a striper (but have mounted a few). I bet they make the drag scream! Congrats!

My uncle fishes down there. He said they have gotten much more strict about fishing over the line for stripers.

They have not.  The other night there was over 200 boats.  There's nothing they can do apparently unless you illegally possess bass.

Thanks Wayne.  It is a rush, not as fun or challenging as they are from shore but after a season of trout only, I'll take it.  Thanks for the heads up about the bite up there always good to know when they are headed south.
