Channels are in the spawn mode so JiggerJim & I fished with one pole for cats & one pole for carp. I chummed the area a little with corn & we had some action for about an hour or so. Jim caught two & I caught one. One carp was 30 inches & 15 lbs, one was 29 inches & only 9 lbs & the other one was 29 inches & went 12 lbs. The late afternoon produced no carp action at all. We started fishin around 2:30 & Jim left around 9:30. The cat bite was bad & jim got one about 18 inches & I caught only one that was about the same size. I stayed 'till 12:30 hoping for some more action but none was to be had. At least we didn't get skunked. We noticed a beaver feeding on weed along the bank & I crept up on him to get some pics.
