Nice....mourning doves are nice birds. Kind of clumsy around the feeders, but nice. Do you have some sunflower feeders out for them?

I have a pair on my property. I like them too, but growing up my brother hated them. If he tried to sleep in on his days off he had one that hooted right out side his window.

This guy decided to visit our feeder this morning.

I think every woodpecker in the neighborhood has found those mealworm blocks.

Just got a shot of the little House Wren who moved into the house I hung in our pine tree.

Squawky little thing. Let's me know she's there when I'm tending my gardens.

The bluebirds have also decided that the blocks I put out are pretty yummy.

The Hairy Woodpecker comes in and moves everyone out of his way.

Fun to watch.

Starlings or Robins Dom?

Doesn't look like a robins nest. No mud.
I need to check our bluebird box for eggs later today. They've been around and defending their territory. Funny to see the male swoop down and whack a squirrel on the head as it's running away. Feisty little bugger.

I have a homing pigeon resting in a cage in my garage with feed and water tonight. It got caught in some mono line I put around my ponds to keep the Great Blue Herons out. It has at least one band and I will look it up tomorrow. Is wet and exhausted.

This is not the first time a homing pigeon that has hung around my property. Anybody have any ideas why they land here? Looks similar to their destination? The four ponds have something to do with it?

We find they hang out here for a few days and then fly off.
