Title: Cherry Creek
Post by: IFF on Mar 05, 2016, 07:35 PM
Its here, made it out with the boat this morning, everything fired right up, :thumbup_smilie: :thumbup_smilie: had a stiff breeze 13-15 mph with a few gusts to maybe 24.  Pretty much covered every popular areas without catching any eyes.  Watched 4 bald eagles showing off their fishing skills, Don't think anyone out on this 880 acre reservoir, even the ones trolling did any catching.  I left after putting in 4.5 hours, when I see some jet ski's launching.  Water temp hasn't warmed much still at 41.4*.  Not expecting any bites to pick up until it gets up to around 45*  The netting operation to gather walleye eggs will start March 15th and run until April 15 if necessary to get the numbers of eggs for hatching.

Nice to see Slayer, and John out giving it a go also.

Goofy weather, started out a balmy 50* then next think I know its raining, Looked outside 15 minutes later and its dumping 2 inches of snow on the grass.  Good thing the pavement was warm, didn't  stick there.

Well Here we go again, CC has no ice, pretty warm 60-70's until Thursday then a bit of a cool down with even some freezing temps.  Been working on my boat, installing on board chargers, new electronics, even redoing the dash.  Took out/off unused dash gauges leaving the old wires in place for now.  Ramp due to open March 1st barring any ice disasters, but snowy months are yet come.

Sure is lonely over here  ::)  Anyone know where to get some Marine grade sealer, putting a new transom transducer mounting board on and of course its below water level.  Silicone states not to be use below water line  ::)  3M 5200 maybe ?

April 29, so much for boating this weekend.  29* and snowing, I can see why the walleye tourney got cancelled at Chatfield.  Anyone been south to Pueblo this month ?
