Montezuma Cat found
« on: Aug 11, 2020, 03:52 PM »
weird place to post this I know but I figure it won't hurt.
From Massachusetts, was visiting finger lakes this weekend and passed thru Montezuma nature reserve. While on a watch tower at "cell phone tour stop #7" we saw a orange cat come out of the brush.  Old male tabby cat, Super friendly, and very hungry.  Long ways from any house and we checked on him twice and both times he was just lounging in the parking lot. I removed ticks and bryers from his fur and left him food and water.
I dont think he's been there terribly long but ticks and fleas are on him.
I wanted to post incase some had to resources to help him out/rescue him.
Animal control  im sure would euthanize him due to his age.  I still may call, but I wanted to post this first.
He really was one of the friendliest cats I've ever been around. Followed us during our walk. Thanks guys
