Very nice fish those are dandys!

The largest steelie to date for me is a 18 lb'er I think, would have to look at the pics to be 100%.

Here is a old steelie pic from when a friend and I went fishing.

Back in the day when I kept fish....

Some very nice fish.  Unfortunately, all of them would easily eat my biggest fish.  LOL.  I guess I'll have to get out on the water more often.

I'm surprised that you didn't have to take 2 pictures just to get all of that fish in!  ;) My congratulations to your brother. He has to be one hell of a fisherman to land a fish that size on 4 lb test. Especially a steelie!

the first pic of your brother with the steelie looks like marsh creek,  just a little bit up from Harrys.  i dont recall any of the streams other then the lower stretches of 18 mile that look like that ( all the standing cat tails in th back ground).

Great fish though.  Congrats to you and your brother.

Was your 22 ponder that came from the buffalo area an ontario fish or a erie fish.  If erie that is a monster.  If ontario its still a monster.

Hope you get a few more just like-um.

I have actually caught about 2 rainbows in my life the size of some of these steelies, well, not quite, but mine are good for rainbows. See "TroutFishingBear's 2004 Trout Of Fame" in pictures to see the rainbow trout version of this post.

Great steelhead, it would be cool to fish for them! But imagine catching them on 4 and 6 lb. test like I catch my rainbows.
