Thanks Rich and others for coming out to fish the tourny on such a rough weather day. Man it was Rainy and cold! A young angler named Michael Novak won it with a Steelhead 23 1/8".
Second Place was Randy Hall with a Coho with no third place fish caught... The water was muddy ,fishing was dead...to bad I had heard of limits all week long leading up to Saturday. That wind Friday really stirred it up and the cold rain didn't help either.
I managed to land a small sucker and I lost a nice fish( steelhead) I had on for 2 or 3 minutes.
Cooked up some brats in the rain and still had a fun day . I enjoyed fishing with all my friends and meeting new ones.
The bite should be back on when The trail clears a bit.

Saw twp guys at the end of the pier on Saturday and helped land a brown for them. It was over ten pounds easily. They ended up with six keepers (two people): several browns; small steelhead and one or two coho (one really nice for a spring coho). Asked them if they were in the tourney and they replied, "What tourney?" There are still fish out there.
The FOF people do a good job and what a great cause. Can't wait to enter it next year.
