Well got out with Great Sacandaga Dave, buddy and I boated 36 walleyes, and I was amazed. We had 9 keepers, Incredible how many small walleye there were. Hope they grow.

Friend and I went out with Great Sacandaga Dave and boated 36 walleye (9 keepers). I learned a lot about fishing that lake that I hope I can duplicate out of my boat next week or so. On the hook for jury duty and some bad news about my older brothers health, so when I get out is depending on the particulars of those factors

Iceman, I give you a lot of credit, pretty warm out there. Glad you got into some fish, September can be good.

Peter, a good day on the water, did you happen to hear any "wild" stories, Dave has a few. He knows the lake well....h2l

H2l we had a good time catching fish even though no keepers, lot of 13 to 14 1/2 inch fish out there, they will be bigger next year. It got unbearably hot so we packed it in at 11:30.

Petercos glad Dave put you on the fish, must have been a fun trip. Let’s hope the water level stays up so we can use the launch for awhile longer.

Iceman, there have been many years with a lot of short fish. This lake just doesn't seem to produce a lot of bigger ones....h2l

It's been a few years since I boated an 19"+. As long as there are short ones being caught you know they are reproducing.

It is great they are reproducing. If they could just get more forage to fatten up.

Petercos sorry to hear about your brothers health, prayers sent. Now that you have fished with Sacandaga Dave you should be well on your way to catching fish from your own boat.

H2l this year I’m not seeing the bait balls like other years, they must be somewhere just not in the area I’m fishing I guess. How much time do you think we have till the launch is unusable.

Piscesman still no luck on drop shot for walleyes, caught rock bass and perch.

Fished Sacandaga this morning it was cool and breezy with a very good chop. Caught 3 walleyes and missed a couple, two of the three were keepers. The launch won’t be usable much longer unless they move the dock out. Doug it was nice talking to you this afternoon.

Iceman are you also talking about the launch at Broadalbin? Hoping to use it next week.

I checked the water level on the site I pasted a link here. About the same level at this time last year.
