What's Your Go To Lure?
« on: Mar 22, 2006, 08:36 PM »
What is the first, and most used lure in your arsenal?

For me it is the holographic green #7 Rapala, note its battle scars...

My wifes favorite is her magenta anise bluegill worm.

Of course, she can't wait till the day she catches something on Blinkie...
Life is what you make it...and if that doesn't work stretch the truth 'til it at least sounds good.

I have a orange/gold hot n tot that is usually the first lure I throw when I start fishing for the day.  It lets me know if the fish are biting aggressively; it is a very high action and flashy lure.  I've managed to catch largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pike, perch and crappie on it so far.

I have a three way tie for my favorite go to bait.

Husky Jerk
Yo-zuri Crystal Minnow
Heddon Prowler
"I fish because I love to; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience; because maybe one day I will catch a mermaid; and finally, not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important, but suspect so many other concerns of men equally unimportant- and not nearly so much fun."

CRAWDAD colored Husky Jerks (reg and orange)!  ;D  Not made any more... :'(  But I have a decent stock!  ;D
Oh Lord - there he is, it feels like a big one, please don\'t let me lose him, I\'ve never caught one this big before.  I\'ll try not to horse him, and if I land him, I promise to release him, and make a graphite replica, if my wife says it\'s ok.  Thank you for the Rapalas...
