10/10/10 fishing for perch
« on: Oct 10, 2010, 07:18 PM »
Went to Wawasee with Jig-n-pig and BlueUltra2 to go perch fishing this morning.  Stopped and picked up 6 dozen minnows on the way to the lake and went thru all of them but about 5.  Fished from about 8 to noon and wasted some time looking for them when we should have started where we ended up.  We must have caught about 60-70 perch, 10 bass and a couple red eyes.  We kept 18, a few of which were kind of small but were going to die due to where they were hooked.  Here is a pic of the best 5 with a  11" fillet knife to show the size.  Not a bad morning on the water considering we did not find the fish until about 10 AM.

We probably would have caught a few more if pigsmallie was not a baby and decided to sleep in!!!  ::) :rotflol: :rotflol: :afro:

We definitely know where to start next time!  Just hold off on getting that boat winterized.

Nice try...I had to pick my daughter up at the high school at 1:15 AM, and I still got up.  You can sleep when you are dead. :clapping:

Can you handle being anchored and using bobbers with minnows? :)
