Good lake in early spring for crappie. This was a poor year. Many smaller fish. I would start in the middle of the deep water for crappie. Gills should be along the weed edges. There are some big gills in there. Don't forget the musky. good luck. let us know how you do. The bait shop is closed so bring your own bait.

Bee Moth tipped with Red worms work well for the BG.   Love this lake.

It is green, used to be Whities Bait. His son ran it for a couple years after dad died. He hated fishermen and scared away what little business he got. Now he gave it up and is trying to sell it. There is a bait shop on 14 going east before you hit Winnimac. A guy who does body work on cars has a small trailer on the south  side of road. White house. if there are any vehicles stop and get ya sum. His wife also ties flies 4 sale. She does large musky flies. They don't have any set hours unfortunately. May be hit or miss. Best bet would be to stop at Butch's Bait on rt.#10 just west of rt.#35 by about 1/4 mile on south side. Say hello to Shirley and tell her Al said to stop by. She will give ya a good count on minnows. She also has a well stocked store with all tackle. Good luck. I have the number on the bait shop on rt.#14. Let me know if you want it and I will  dig for it and post later.

The lake was way up and didnt catch anything! Marked lots of fish
but wouldnt bite on anything. Heard a couple other guys say the same.
Guessing because of the water coming up and being real dirty.
