Haven't been up yet this year ,i usually fish it hard but with all the high water this year along with the up and down temps I just didn't think it would be fishable under normal circumstances. If any one has been up that way I was just wondering how it was fishing ,I'm still going regardless
-
I was there yesterday, hooked one fish in around six hours. The water is high, and I don't know the area well, but I fished around two other guys, and they didn't catch anything either.
-
Are you fishing for steelhead or walleye?
-
ive been there once. 2 guys catching crappie. I caught one pike 22" not even new limit size.. ah well
-
I was fishing for walleye.
-
I was fishing for walleye.
May want to be careful. There's also a separate river up in Mishawaka/Elkhart called the St. Joe River.
-
Understood, I was fishing in Elkhart, why would I need to be careful? Is there regulations on walleye there that I missed?
-
I should of clarified ,I was talking st Joe river south bend ,michiwaka. I was fishing peeper park this morning ,I think I lined one at the end of my drift but that was the only action I had, didn't see any porpusong ,I'm sure most steelhead have already moved through

Yeah, I fished this morning with no luck. I got pretty wet, but the 30 mph winds dried me off pretty quick. When are we gonna catch a break on the weather? Lol
-
Tomorrow is your break, better get you some quick!

Fished Leeper yesterday afternoon. Saw several hookups and a couple landed, but no luck for buddy and me. Then moved to Elkhart to try for some walleye, again no luck but managed a couple smallies and rock bass.
