Title: Bell sinker or egg sinker
Post by: AmazingZombieWeapons on Oct 20, 2013, 09:04 PM
I don't know if I should use a bell sinker or an egg sinker? I am going to be fishing in the James river and I will be using night crawlers while fishing for catfish and drum. The current it slow or medium speed and I am using 15 pound braid of that means anything.
Thanks

Both of the sinkers are decent choices, they're both fairly snag resistant so it's all going to boil down to what rig you wanna use

Egg sinkers tend to not snag up as much.

you might look for someone who sells no-roll sinkers. you might have to buy a mold though.

a no-roll sinker is similar to an egg sinker, but it's flattened so that it stays put in current. the in-fisherman catfish staff swears by them.
