I haven't yet this year, but I usually go down at least once and try my luck from shore.
The crappie bite by me is finally starting to turn on.  My ice season was spotty at best and would like some fillets in the freezer.

I only know a few spots to try in the Troy area for Stripers, but I have caught bait and stripers there.

I need to hit the bank first for stripper bait, they like singles.  Then I will tow my boat to Troy for stripers this weekend and head south from there.

Has anyone tried freezing some bait when they are plentiful and then having it the following spring for those early arrivals ?     just thinking it should be an option.
