Nice, I just took the next few days off for some much needed C&R. Going to fish strippers one morning, troll winni the other, and then try to figure this long pole business out.

Is that a bead headed nymph you have pictured? I’m still trying to figure out all the lingo with flies. I’ve onky ever really used streamer flies on my fly rod, and need to learn some other techniques.

Its a quasimoto and its more of a dropper than a nymph.  The phesant tails typicaly are straight shanked hooks.  Pheasant tail was my second choice last night.  90% of the trout ive nymphed this season are on that quasimoto.  I havent been running it as a dropper...

When I fish for strippers I go to the bank and get crispy ones.  You should come visit wiggles.  Im in rediscovery phase myself and am absolutely loving it.

Bigger than an 18 not sure exactly.  Its beat to crap now...coming undone.  I was using micro quasimotos last night as well like size 20.  Been getting rising fish to smack them.

If you don't I got a ton of size 14 tmc 2457 model hooks but not 18 or 20 size I can tie you on size 14 pheasant tail nymphs might even have some bead heads to throw in too it . That is if you know what size they are??  Really need a hook hackle gauge to figure it out??  Wondering what there seeing there weather a b.w.o. nymph  or etc?? As in the tiny bwo nymphs?

I'll have to tie some up over the winter.  The vice doesnt get much use in the warmer months.  Theres too many fish to catch.
