Lake Havasu, Arizona
Drop-shotting crawlers at 30 ft was the ticket.

According to someone I know that lives out there now, there are huge bluegills in the lake too.

As a taxidermist I refurbished three red-ears to 3 lbs. for them that a local taxidermist did out there that were absolutely horribly done. They told me they had a hard time even findng a taxidermist in the area let alone one that does fish.

Havasu is a party/ boating lake. No speed limit. Very little fishing pressure.  Some bass guys but they don't care about the sunfish.
