Littleville
« on: Jul 30, 2021, 02:02 PM »
Don't think too many people are on here lately it seems but if anyone was considering going to Littleville it is closed due to the high water, yet they certainly aren't releasing much water.  I tried Dayville last night only to find the gate closed, then tried the main entrance which was also closed.  I got a couple of tiny largemouth in the river around there plus a solid rainbow on a small floating rapala and lost another larger rainbow.  Better than no fishing I guess.

You mention Littleville and Dayville (I'm not familiar with that one).

Do you know anything about the conditions at Knightville?

Dayville is the northern entrance to Littleville, just another launch that is really only suited for kayaks and canoes.

Knightville they allow to flow freely in the warm weather so its a stream right now.  They hold back water in the winter but after the dam that is really where the east branch dumps into the main branch.  You can follow the road starting in the Chesterfield gorge and it ends at Knightville, although most of the gates are closed and 7 miles is quite a hike.
