Perch Recipe
« on: Jul 21, 2005, 10:42 AM »
Just satasfied a hunger for a late breakfast of plain fried perch. I often pan fry plain panfish fillets (no coating whatsoever) in oleo seasoned only with salt, black pepper,  and onion powder (onion powder, not onion salt). Very tasty. They were in the skillet and I found myself out of the main ingredient, onion p. I substituted Old Bay Seafood Seasoning that I normally use in shrimp, scallop, etc dishes. Well, it was absolutely awesome. It has papprika and cayanne plus other assorted seasonings which gave the fish a slightly spicey zing and it browned out nicely. Deffinately will do a repeat; highly recomend giving it a try.
