garlic power?

anyone ever put garlic powder in you soft plastic bags did it today and the fish were all over the baits just woundering if anyone else had tryed it

Fresh garlic works better... Just crush, peel, and put it in your worms.

I don't know if it really does anything, but it seems to keep the vampires away pretty well. ;D

tried it on some dead minnows pike fishing and it did not work at all. the took the ungarliced ones

i use mega strike and gulp alive...both crawfish scent

Also works fantastic on power bait for trout they sell it with garlic flavor. but i had some without the garlic flavor added some garlic salt and couldnt stop catching the bows :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

I always keep a bag of garlic in my tackle box,also great for ice fishing.

i dunno about garlic, but I always like to sort of marinate my soft plastics in the gulp! alive! minnow or crawfish scents

Through personal experience I've come to believe in scents. I use it when I'm suing artificial bait that will hold the scent like plastics, hair or feather. I do not waste scent on spoons or hard wood, plastic or metal lures that will not hold scent. I like Gulp sprays and liquids. I like garlic for crappie, anise for perch, shiner & smelt for lake trout. The problem with garlic scent is 1/2 way through a day of fishing I'm famished for pizza.  :-\ Go figure. 8)
