New York / Re: Hudson River stripers

I haven't yet this year, but I usually go down at least once and try my luck from shore.
The crappie bite by me is finally starting to turn on.  My ice season was spotty at best and would like some fillets in the freezer.

I only know a few spots to try in the Troy area for Stripers, but I have caught bait and stripers there.

It’s funny Oneida perch actively eat during the spawn but on skinny once the males start following females and they start dropping eggs you might as well leave. You can see hundreds and not get bit.

Got out last nite for a little while. Bite was good on crawlers rite off then the little perch found the banquet and I couldn't keep a bait on the bottom. I switched to all shrimp and did much better. Ended up with 20 good ones and few throw backs.

I might try to get out Saturday night for a few hours I forgot how much fun they can be

Maine / Maine - New Hampshire Inshore Trawl Survey, Spring 2024
« Last post by CF on Today at 02:29 PM »
"The Spring survey will begin in New Hampshire waters on April 29th, working its way east to finish up about May 31st near Cutler/Lubec. We will fish the first 5 good days each week, using the weekend to make up for bad weather or equipment problems. This should enable us to maintain a predictable schedule as we move up the coast. The vessel is a white fiberglass Northeast 54’, the F/V Robert Michael of Portland, captained by Rob Tetrault."

I don't mind paying a small price, but 50$ is pricey!!
