North Adams
« on: Sep 16, 2018, 07:29 PM »
My younger son and I fished in North Adams this afternoon.

Sunny, humid, 82 degrees.

We Fished Fish Pond from 12 noon to a little before 2 PM.

Action was slow.

I ended up catching a couple sunfish.

My son hooked into a 13" large mouth on a lure early on, but it shook off the hook after 3 or 4 leaps. Toward the end, he reeled in a 12" perch.

From 2 to 3 PM, we fished the North Hoosic.

I caught a 11' brown below the entrance to the Natural Marble Bridge State Park, and my son caught a 9" brown in the Park itself.

I also caught a 6" brookie on the Hudson Brook in the Park.

We also headed downstream and fished below the Beaver Street roll dam, but didn't have any hits.

Yup loving these cooler temps.  The streamer bite is starting to heat up.  I just hope the cool weather persists and we get a little more rain before I head up to western NY for some salmon/steelhead.
