I feel, as do many others, that there isn't one finite answer to this question.WAY too many variable come into play.Things like..........Species and/or size of fishLure or bait type being usedRod and reel usedfresh or saltwaterbacker, mainline, leader, etc.temperature, both air and waterclarity, or lack of clarity, of the watertype of fishing - jigging, trolling, pitching cranks, etc.ice fishing or soft waterJebus.....you get the picture.
I just freshwater fish. I don't ice fish. You make it all sound pretty complicated. So you have different lines for all these variables. So what line would you use for spinning in fresh water with either with plastics, cranks, or jigs and which of the types of line would you choose for which weather. There must be some basic lines that you like that you could name. Are you a guide?
