Home made downrigger?
« on: May 09, 2006, 09:51 PM »
I am just starting to think about making a down rigger. Does any one have any tips or ideas? I like to make stuff my self even though it usually lands up costing me more than a commercial version!
I would like to make it from plywood with stainless pulleys and bearings.
What sayest you guys?

I believe there was a thread on here last year concerning this very subject.  Someone had made some riggers that looked pretty good.  You might try a search.
