The laws in Mass. are more big fish and that's why we have less in Maine laws all along  the route should be the same.

Commercial fishing for stripers in Mass hurts the cause.  Id love for those fish to make it up to your coast.  I was quite a fan of casting at ft popam (spelling?)

I always look forward to my annual July Cape Porpoise striper trip trolling tubes and worms or fishing topwater!  Sometimes there's lots of bass around and sometimes not so many but always a great time in a beautiful place.

There is much more bait in Mass. than Maine so they stay there.

I've fished that area many times, always hit the Kennebunk river by boat and have caught some nice fish in that area.

I fish quite aways North of that most of the time. Last year was a phenomenal year for me, after several years of
very slow fishing.

Combine the good striper fishing with an outstanding smelt season in my two camps this past winter, can't get any better.  ;D

In Maine all the bait goes into Lobster traps.  Hamilton Marine has lobster bait $55.00 for  a 5 gal pail full..

Would you believe me if I told you the stripers have arrived in Machias? Don't call me a spot burner, because our stripers were just big DOT trucks spraying the yellow lines on Rt 1. The lead vehicle had a big sign "Caution, line striper ahead".

The fish with black and white on them don't come this far northeast very often.

You don't need a boat to troll for them just your truck with a line behind off your trailer hitch..
