I caught my personal best last night in the upper Hudson River near Schuylerville, NY.  Fishing with chicken livers, 12 lb test, and a medium heavy 6.5 ft rod.  Fishing the upstream point of a sunken island that is in about 2 fow dropping to 12 fow.  Tons of rain and the water is flowing well and muddy.  Hooked him at 11 pm last night, landed at 11:08.  Taped out at 34 inches, with a mouth 8.75 inches wide.  Didn't have my scale(d*mn it), but I would guess 18-20 lbs.  I have taken many in the 10-12 lb range(about 25-28 inches), but this one was a sight to behold :o.  Couple of photos and back in the drink.  Photos are on a disposable camera, so I will post them as soon as it is developed.  The catfishing this year has been awesome in the Hudson.
