New Addition to the Arsenal

I’ll be heading to western NY mid next week for a wedding out in the Cleveland area. I convinced the girlfriend that we should parlay the drive to Cleveland with some salmon fishing. We booked a very reasonable air bnb right on Lake Ontario and plan to fish in the area of Oak Orchard.

Sinc my girlfriend has kind of caught the fishing bug I needed to invest in another 8wt reel so she could use my other setup. After searching the internet for deals I settled on a Lamson Litespeed 3.5 Micra 5 reel which was a steal on Sierra Trading. This reel will be a great addition for many years to come for schoolies, steelhead, salmon, and maybe one day some pike.

Oh for sure.  I've never caught one so kind of hard to list but I'm always willing to try to add new species to my list.

Nice addition to the arsenal. The key is to stock it with quality and utility not quantity.
