Fun stuff Trapper. My summer haunts have been nothing but mud holes for the last month and a half. Haven't wet a line in weeks. Just when it starts to settle down we get blasted with another round of heavy rains. I measured. 3 1/4" in the rain gauge in the last 5 days.
Good thing I have the wood shop and gardens to keep me occupied. Hopefully things will settle down for the fall.

Question...what is everyone using for fly line these days? Ive been out of the game for so long I was baffled by the number of options. If anyone has recommendations for a favored floating flyline Id like to hear them.

Cortland 444 on my reels. Never found a good reason to change.

I think they are all good I like the airflow because it picks up easy but a rio line will land just as many fish or a good old 444

i use to use the Cortland 444 but it would wear out after 400 hours of fishing(one season). Then went to the Rio and it has lasted 3 seasons with equal castingperformance. Both WF 4X floating line and I use it for everything.50 trips lthis season and 260 trout.
