By the way, I think I'm officially an Old Fart today.  :D

How old?

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

fishing machine  you  must  fish the  battenkill  a  bit , I  haven't in many years  but   we  use to rock some  nice  browns in that  water
I do, trapper, 4 or 5 times a season, but mostly the VT waters. She still holds some slammers, but is almost all catch and release until you get to the headwaters. I'll be there in a couple of weeks for the VT opening day.

I think it was four years ago (that unusually super-warm, abnormal spring we had) opening weekend that the two guys I fish it with and I were on fire! We netted 8 browns in the afternoon, and the smallest was 20"! A day we'll always remember.   ;D

Nice Trapper !! I still haven't caught a fish in 2018. Hoping to change that this weekend.

Ausable Ugly has a silver bead and hackle, Sirloin is a streamer pattern and uses  coyote fur, both invented by Rich Garfield, Adirondack guide.
