« on: Nov 09, 2005, 06:27 PM »
I am starting to plan a trip somewhere in new york ( I'm from se pa)  to fish for some walleye this coming spring. I'm looking for a place/ guides you guys have used to put me on some monster eyes. Does anyone have an suggestion?

I would suggest lake Ontario. There are HUGE eyes in there. I've never used a guide but there are tons of guides out in the Pulaski, and oswego area.

good luck

I don't have a name for you, but check the "Golden crescent" on Lake Ontario.  From Henderson Harbor*, black river bay (Sacketts Harbor *), chaumont bay, mud bay, up to and including Cape Vincent. Plenty of good guides and places to stay.
Eyedoktr...any names of guides or places to stay??

Oswego harbor is a GREAT place for HUGE walleyes. Check out theriverguide.com for some pictures.

Oswego Harbor all the way.  Huge walleyes in BIG numbers...VERY reliable too.
