A guy I work with caught a 8 1/2 pound 23" smallmouth bass from a lake in southern branch county last weekend. while taking the picture he dropped his 300 dollar digital camera in the water but he's mounting the fish so he said when he gets it back he show it to me and I'll try to get a picture and post it! When I first heard about it I thought it was a largemouth and I thought no way but when I heard it was a smallmouth my jaw about hit the floor. The fish is only about 12 oz. off the state record. I trust him though, he's caught several 5-6 pounders and he was psyched about this. Ever hear about any other monster smallies from Michigan? I'd love to hear the story! |
