Time to explore some new waters for some jumbo seabass. Looking forward to that tomorrow, I will post results.
-
Just got a report from yesterday and there should be plenty to post.
-
Good luck Mike!

630 and we had a limit of seabass. About 70 seabass later we tried for tog but could not connect and then we tried for striped bass. Salmon&striperstalker hooked into one that was about 24". Great day in the fog.

Excellent work Mike. The problem with being fishermen is we fish too much. We have got to connect soon!

Thanks Jon. You are spot on.

those are nice humbacks. may I ask how deep you were fishin.
-
Looks like you did very well. Nice going Mike. I finally managed to get out yesterday for some Winter Flounder. Not a banner day but we did put 12 in the cooler. Threw back several barely legals to get bigger. Even caught a cusk in 15' of water on a flounder rig :P.
By the way which launch did you end up using??

Seabass have been everywhere in upper buzzards bay from 15ft to 50ft but 30-35ft has been better for me.

Thanks Jeff! We culled as well.
I used the ramp I originally told you about. Not a bad spot but I think I will be going with the one you mentioned next time. That will not be until next year though.

Its Friday, and I am itching for it to be Saturday 4am so I can launch my boat. I have plans but they are worthless right now.

I'm right with you. Got the big yak loaded with salt gear. Just need this darn day to end.

If you are headed to RI, let me know.

Was close to RI in buzzards bay. Fishing was tough yesterday. The wind was ripping so jigging the bottom in the yak was tough. We landed about 6 short seabass, lost the one keeper at the boat, a short fluke and countless sea robin. Made the best of a it though.

Should have made the trip to RI! Nice work either way.

Well, the wait was worth it to say the least. Sometimes having some time to formulate a plan is part of the success. I knew I had a pig as soon as I hooked into it. Like pulling a 5 gallon bucket full of water on top of it making a few runs like a striped bass.

That's what top of your game looks like Mike. Excellent work!

Thanks guys.
I have now successfully pulled these doormats off the same location in consecutive years.
Might be time to join the Fluke till ya Puke tourney.
