I was fortunate to head over to Chagrin Falls, Ohio for a 3 day men's conference on 2 Timothy and evangelism at Parkside church with Alistair Begg.  That event was very insightful.  I have had the pleasure of attending this conference called Basics the past 2 years and also trailed my boat over that way so I could take advantage of being that close to Lake Erie and fish on my way home.  This year, I decided to not take the boat as the weather was iffy and I signed up for an excursion with Fisherman's Wharf walleye guiding service out of Port Clinton.  I had seen these "head" boats in the past and they seemed like they would be fun.  I decided to go out from 7-2 but they also offer an excursion in the afternoon/evening.  So, I got to the Fisherman's Wharf tackle store, adjacent to the water in Port Clinton about 6:15.  I paid $75 for the time to go out from 7-2.  I brought me own equipment but if you wanted to, you could use their rods/reels.  We left the dock at 7 am sharp and motored out about 40 minutes.  We had a great breeze to drift with and the attitude of the crew was outstanding.  Tyler was our captain and Randy was the first mate and they did everything ou could imagine to put you on catching fish.  There were 17 fisherman and a crew of 2.  The $75 included all the night crawlers you could use and you could also use their rods/reels if so desired.
After a 40 minute boat ride out to the fishing grounds, we fished solid, as we drifted until 1:30.  There were 17 fisherman and 80 keeper walleyes were caught with the largest being just under 27".  We also caught several short fish and 3 large gallon buckets full of white perch.
So, again, for $75... you get bait, a safe, fun ride and a great crew that is very familiar with your goal for the day... Relax and fish...The fish were caught by either throwing weapon rigs with 3/4 oz in line egg sinker or with a large jig, bouncing the bottom.
I hope you all can get over there and I am confident you will not find a better place than Port Clinton Fisheries.

Been out with Fisherman’s Warf several times.  Randy is the best!
