When do these bows go into their spawning colors -- late fall or spring? Or are they triploids?

actually i have seen them in spawning colors in this particular lake in both late fall and spring which i have always been confused about??? they are kinda a mixed strain so maybe thats why i dunno.

got out a couple times and managed a few nice bows but not the big hens we ran into the week before still good to be out this time of year though. 18 bows for the weekend with a half dozen 5 lbs or better
