Very natural looking lures, great imitations. I never painted lures very well. I used Rust-Oleum on my jigheads! Yuk! Next time, I'll just buy painted heads, Lol.
I messed up some BIG Rapalas years ago trying to make them look like an alewife...Not good...wasted them...They were too big for my tackle anyways, Lmao.
I suppose a Permanent Sharpie on the right lure would work well enough.
I went to Otisco the other night and the water temp on the bottom offshore was 66*! So, I must have missed the alewives spawning earlier. I didn't see many boats or fishermen along the shoreline, especially after dark...I wasn't there late, I just wanted to see if I could spot some baitfish just before and after dark or any good sign.
I've lost my fishin' intuition I guess.
Are gun shops and sporting goods stores going to be reopened row? I hope so, I need to go look at something other than food and toilet paper...
